The Role of Finance Clerk:

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Finance Clerk to step into a key role within our Finance Team during a period of maternity cover. Based at our Head Office in Newbridge, Edinburgh, this fixed-term opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced finance environment and is eager to contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations. Main duties of this role include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for finance-related queries
  • Process, match, and input supplier invoices into POP and Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Set up and maintain supplier accounts
  • Resolve invoice queries and liaise with suppliers
  • Process staff expenses and manage payment runs (daily/weekly)
  • Handle BACS, cheque, and credit payments
  • Maintain direct debit records and aged creditors report
  • Support audits and monthly finance reporting
  • Review credit applications and perform credit checks
  • Prepare Credit Committee reports and fortnightly updates
  • Assist with debt recovery and escalated accounts
  • Provide general finance and administrative support as needed

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Confident problem solver with the ability to manage disputes professionally
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with finance systems such as insphire and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP is desirable
