About the Role
Based in Nairn and covering The Highlands, you’ll carry out maintenance and repairs on a variety of hire equipment. From routine servicing to on-site diagnostics and emergency repairs, you’ll ensure minimal downtime and high operational standards across our fleet. This mobile role offers autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
How This Role Supports the Delivery of Hire Solutions:
Your work ensures our equipment stays operational and ready for hire, supporting customer satisfaction and the smooth delivery of our services. By responding quickly to maintenance needs and carrying out effective repairs, you help us deliver dependable, high-quality hire solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults on plant, tools, and site equipment at customer sites across The Highlands
- Perform scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs
- Replace fluids, filters, and worn components to maintain performance and safety
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers
- Keep accurate service and inspection records
- Source and manage parts to support timely repairs
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures and complete relevant checks
- Escalate complex issues to the team manager
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent Jarvie Plant with professionalism
What Will Make You a Great Fit:
- Demonstrated experience working with Plant, generators and/or similar equipment, preferably in the plant hire, construction, or industrial sectors.
- Solid understanding of Plant Mechanics, operation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to work independently and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A CSCS Gold Card (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, especially in explaining technical issues clearly.
- A customer-first mindset.
- A full UK driving licence.
