Are you a hands-on, experienced individual who enjoys working with a variety of tasks and delivering quality results? We’re looking for an experienced Cabin Fitter to join our dedicated JP Accommodation Team. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and preparing our portable accommodation units, ensuring they meet the highest standards and are ready for customer hire.

About the Role:

As a Cabin Fitter, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our accommodation units — from setup and refurbishment to repair and demobilisation. Working closely with our operations and customer teams, you will ensure cabins are safe, functional, and customer-ready.

How This Role Supports the Delivery of Hire Solutions:

Your experience and skills keep our accommodation units in top condition and ready for hire, reducing downtime and guaranteeing excellent service for our customers. Key responsibilities include:

Accommodation Unit Maintenance & Preparation

  • Set up, fit out, refurbish, and repair portable accommodation units to customer specifications.
  • Service and prepare cabins for hire, including painting, plumbing, joinery, welding, and electrical checks.
  • Check stock availability and ensure all materials and equipment are prepared for upcoming hires.
  • Carry out installations and demobilisations as required.

Health & Safety and Quality Compliance

  • Follow all Health and Safety regulations, conducting safety checks and maintaining safe working practices.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.

Teamwork & Customer Service:

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Support and promote excellent customer service and uphold company values.

What Will Make You a Great Fit:

  • Previous experience in a similar role involving accommodation fitting, maintenance, or related duties.
  • Basic joinery and plumbing skills are essential.
  • Ability to perform a range of tasks to a high standard, often under time pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective team player who works well with others.
  • A valid CSCS card is desirable but not essential.
